THE SOLUTION
An enclosed steam shower captures the moisture and does not let it migrate to the rest of the room.
The travertine arched entrance provides an opulent, old world atmosphere. An open niche above the
shower gives the room a light and airy feeling. Lavish travertine tiles cover the floor, shower, tub surround,
baseboards and doorframes. A heated floor provides comfort underfoot. Custom vanity cabinets
with granite countertops and a linen cabinet were handcrafted to provide much needed storage
space. The rounded tub was replaced with a sleek spa tub, and the fireplace was completely rebuilt as a
focal point in both the bath and bedroom. The walls were finished in Italian Florentine limestone. A
beautiful chandelier completes the transition from plain Jane to exquisite old world charm.
